Three Module Program for Managers

BOUNCING BACK: Leading Through Uncertain Times

An exciting new three-module program developed to address the needs of workplace leaders in today’s challenging economic climate. This program can be accessed by individual managers online, or as a group at your facility.

The goal is to teach managers and supervisors how to attend to the people-related aspects of change with skill and confidence. This program will provide the context, theory and principles that underlie the key ‘tools’ which will help them lead change within their areas effectively. It will examine the dynamics of change, successful communication strategies and keys to personal change resiliency.

Summary of topics addressed:

Module One: Dealing with Reality
  • Addressing the emotional impact of workplace changes
  • Information about the Stages of Transition
  • Discussion about “resilience” on a personal level
  • Identifying “hot spots” – what are people worried about right now
Module Two: Practical Focus & Supports
  • Communication do’s and don’ts
  • Managing “survivor guilt”
  • Motivating employees in a new reality
Module Three: Moving Forward
  • Facilitating grieving and transitioning
  • Self-Care – identifying personal resources
  • Identifying signs of trouble

Each manager participating in this program will receive a free copy of the quintessential book about change and transition, Managing Transitions: Making the Most of Change by William Bridges.

Managers can access the program individually online and each individual manager will work with their own “coach” who can help them with their specific needs and give personal support. This program can also be done as a group session. If accessed as a group, a facilitator will come to your facility. Group sessions are 3 hours in length. Speak with your HR Manager if you are interested in this format.
